Arranging or changing your diabetic eye screening (DES) appointment

Most health boards have a diabetic eye screening (DES) service that can arrange appointments and answer any questions or problems you might have.

When you receive your DES invitation letter you might need to contact your local service to arrange a time to have the test. You can also ask for a new appointment if you fail to, or can no longer, attend your appointment.

When to contact

Contact your local DES service if you:

  • have a question about the test or your appointment
  • need to change the date or time of your appointment
  • have a disability or need an interpreter
  • would like to give feedback or make a complaint
